Behavioral Health illness

The Maine Medical Professionals Health Program (MPHP) is a confidential resource for medical professionals (and some Maine Students), with health concerns that include behavioral and mental health issues.

MPHP provides a safe environment for professionals to talk about the stress and demands of modern medical practice and the impacts personal and professional issues are having on their health and wellbeing. MPHP assessments, though not clinical evaluations, are designed to identify the health concerns impacting the individual’s life and provide recommendations and resources to help them return to health and become more resilient.

Anyone is welcome and encouraged to contact MPHP on his or her own behalf. MPHP also receives referrals from colleagues, family members, friends, hospitals, medical schools, and the Maine licensing boards.
