MPHP response to Covid-19 (Coronavirus)
As the health and safety of our participants, stakeholders, and staff is our top priority, the staff at MPHP have been closely monitoring the response to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Following guidelines from trusted sources, and in collaboration with our regulatory agencies, we are taking the following protective measures to ensure safety and that any requirements are being met:
As this is a rapidly evolving situation, we will provide on-going updates on any changes with regards to testing and meeting locations as they become available to us.
Important note: The MPHP will remain in communication with the Licensing Boards and provide updates to you on any changes.
For Dental Board participants with Consent Agreements who are required to adhere to specific testing and meeting requirements: please contact the Dental Board of Practice to request further guidance in addition to keeping in contact with the MPHP.
If you should start experiencing symptoms, please take care of yourself first and foremost, and keep MPHP apprised of your condition. In the meantime, please keep yourself and others safe by taking the proper hygienic precautions according to CDC and WHO recommendations.
The MPHP staff will be readily available to answer your questions and to respond to your feedback.

- MPHP staff will be increasing the use of remote communication technologies for participant meetings as needed.
- Multiple meeting locations have suspended or limited outside meeting groups; therefore, any meeting requirements may be held virtually at the following website: In The Rooms: An Online Addiction Recovery Community, which may be accessed here - www.intherooms.com. Please reach out to MPHP to confirm use of this meeting method before proceeding, and please continue to fill out your meeting log forms, if applicable.
- Testing sites have taken precautions to limit the spread of virus. If you have any questions regarding their practice, please contact them to request their protocols.

Located in Manchester Maine, the Medical Professionals Health Program(MPHP) is a program of the Maine Medical Association. Overseen by a peer review committee, the MPHP assists healthcare professionals challenged with substance use, mental health, and behavioral issues, as well as stress and burnout by providing confidential and compassionate monitoring, support, treatment resources, advocacy, education, and outreach. We welcome those who are voluntarily seeking assistance before licensing is impacted, as well as those who have been referred or mandated by Maine's regulatory licensing Boards to participate with MPHP in order to maintain or regain licensure.
