MPHP facilitates the health & wellbeing of healthcare professionals and enhances patient care and safety in Maine
Established in 1987 by the Maine Medical Association, located in Manchester Maine, the Medical Professionals Health Program(MPHP) is overseen by a peer review committee with the mission of supporting healthcare professionals challenged with substance misuse, mental health issues, and behavioral challenges, as well as stress and burnout.
MPHP's professional staff provides confidential and compassionate intake assessments, monitoring, support, evaluation and treatment resources/recommendations, advocacy, education, and outreach. We welcome those who are voluntarily seeking help before their license and/or employment is impacted, as well as those who have been referred or mandated by their employer or regulatory Licensing Board.
